Week One In The Bag

Scott Neal, November 12, 2010 | Posted in Scott Neal

It’s Friday night at 5:31 pm and Week One is “in the bag”. It’s done. I can’t do it again. There are no do-overs to make first impressions now. I either made a good one, or I didn’t. And, by the same token, I either have one now, or I won’t. It does work both ways.

Since I can’t speak for the people who have formed their first impressions of me, I’ll speak for myself. I have a really good first impression of Edina. The City staff, City Councilmembers, board and commission members and community members I’ve met this week have been very warm and welcoming to me. Everyone I’ve met has made me feel comfortable and confident. I know that just can’t go on forever here, but in terms of a first impression – I’ve got a good one.

Next week, on Monday, November 15, the League of Women Voters of Edina is sponsoring a community reception for me in the City Council Chambers from 6-8 pm. If you’re free and would like to hear a little bit more about me (from me), please feel welcome to join us.

With Week One in The Bag, it’s time to call it a day. I’ll be back bright and early on Monday.

Cheers.
