Welcome to Edina

Scott Neal, November 9, 2010 | Posted in Scott Neal

Yesterday was my first day as Edina’s new city manager. My new co-workers gave me a very warm welcome. It’s really good to be here.

I have been a blogging city manager (or a city manager blogger) since March of 2003. I started writing a blog back then because I thought it was a good way to explain city government to the residents of the city. I found out in the process of writing the blog that it was also an effective way of communicating to the employees of city government as well.

This blog is a new communications tool for the City of Edina. I’ll write to it frequently, but probably not everyday. I will share some of the things we’re doing and/or about to do. I will draw attention to the great people who work here and the exceptional things they are doing to help make Edina a great city for Living, Learning, Raising Families & Doing Business.

Thanks for checking in on the blog. I hope you’ll come back for more in the future.

Scott
