The Edina Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) sponsors an annual “Edina Heritage Award” to showcase local historic preservation activity.

2022- Town Hall Station
A former gas station remodeled into a restaurant was recognized as the 19th winner of the Edina Heritage Award.

2021 - Suckow-Ziemer Residence
The 1966 home was remodeled inside and out to follow classic California Modern designs including a courtyard that ties the entire property together.

2020 - Baker Home
The remodel of an English Tudor Revival house on the site of original Henry Brown farmhouse has received the 2020 Heritage award.

2017 - Anton-Johnson Residence
The 2017 Edina Heritage Award was presented to Nancy Johnson and Paul Anton for their home at 5133 Mirror Lakes Drive.

2016 - Vayda Residence
Owners Doug & Patricia Vayda worked closely with Rehkamp Larson Architects to build upon the historic character found in this quaint 1935 Tudor home.

2015 - Savory's Gardens
Owned by Arlene Savory and her son Dennis, Savory's Gardens is a long standing nursery business, originating in 1946, Savory's is nestled into a residential neighborhood south dotted with vegetable and hobby farms.

The Arthur Erickson House was built in 1950 through the direction of (Frank) Lloyd Wright Jr.

Southdale Center is the nation's first fully enclosed, climate-controlled mall.

2012 - The Convention Grill
Recognized for being a historic Edina gathering place since 1941, The Convention Grill has served its classic burgers, fries and malts to generations of Edina residents.

2011 - St. Stephen's Episcopal Church
The original sanctuary, dedicated on March 19, 1939 was inspired by the parish churches of rural England.

2010 - Cochrane Home
This 1938 American Colonial Revival home located in the historic Country Club District underwent an extensive renovation in 2009 – 2010 to include a new front entry portico and new detached garage.

2009 - Coddington House
This wood framed, Craftsman-style home was constructed in 1911 by Elmer Coddington, a comptroller at the Minneapolis Moline tractor factory in nearby Hopkins.

2008 - Edina Morningside Community Church (EMCC)
Home to a United Church of Christ congregation that dates back to 1902, the current church building dates back to 1922, when the Morningside Congregational Church congregation moved from what is now a single family home at 4003 Morningside Road.

2007 - Sly Farmhouse
Constructed in 1866 on original 160 acre farmstead north of Valley View and east of Concord Avenue.

2005 - Morningside Neighborhood
The Morningside Neighborhood received a Heritage Award in 2005.

2004 - Edina Theatre Sign
Built in 1934, the sign was demolished by a tornado in 1980 and rebuilt to the original specifications.

2003 - Baird House
The Baird House was the first recipient of the Edina Heritage Award in 2003, recognizing the attention to detail and the historic integrity of the home when adding an addition to the rear side.
