This group of clergy people serve the community by assisting the department with death notifications and other sensitive situations. They are also available for City employees and the community at large.

Ordained with five years experience or receive a waiver from the Coordinator
Approved by their ecclesiastical body or direct supervisor
Pass an application process, including a criminal history check and department interview
Upon request by department personnel, provide pastoral care as needed to any designated citizen or department member without proselytizing
Be on-call as schedule to handle emergency situations
Attend monthly Chaplain meetings and trainings -- a minimum of 70 percent attendance is required yearly
