Painted Steel
The shell includes plant life forms from Minnesota ecosystems, including pine, spruce, birch and other hardwoods and cattails, water plants and flowers.
The Artist
Kathy Gustafson is a self-taught artist who has been drawing ever since she could hold a pencil. She has been creating and exhibiting drawings and paintings for over 30 years and has won numerous awards at juried shows and exhibitions during that time. She also teaches art classes to children and adult students. She currently lives in Bemidji, Minn.

"Minn. Eco Turtle" was made possible by a gift from Edina Public Art Committee members to the Edina Community Foundation for a permanent exhibition on the Edina Promenade.
