Edina Police Welcomes New Officers

Edina, Minn., Oct. 6, 2022 – The Edina Police Department recently welcomed two new Patrol Officers to its ranks. Officers Nicole Fraser and Nick Schwarz took the oath to serve the community at an Oct. 6 ceremony at the South Metro Public Safety Training Facility.

A native of Coon Rapids, Fraser earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement from Winona State University. She finished a certificate skills program at Rochester Community and Technical College in May. Badge 156 was pinned on Fraser by her brother, Derek Fraser.

Schwarz was born and raised in St. Michael. He earned an associate degree in Law Enforcement from Alexandria Technical and Community College in May. Badge 140 was pinned on Schwarz by his girlfriend, Faith Morfitt.
