Register for Night to Unite by July 19

Edina, Minn., June 29, 2023 – The Edina Police and Fire Departments will be out in the community for “Night to Unite” Tuesday, Aug. 1. Neighborhoods across the city have the opportunity to meet and greet the City’s Police Officers and Fire personnel while enjoying time with their neighbors outdoors.

“Night to Unite is a great time to reconnect with neighbors,” said Community Engagement Officer Emily Jepson. “We all get busy, especially during the summer months, but those connections with neighbors are vital for a thriving community. Police and Fire staff are looking forward to visiting with the residents we serve!”

Night to Unite is designed to build neighborhood involvement by bringing first responders and communities together and bring awareness to crime prevention and local law enforcement efforts.

Block party organizers can request a free visit from a police car, fire truck or ambulance, drone team, motor officer or K-9 officer. Resources are limited because of the large number of neighborhoods taking part in the event, so register early to request a visitor.

Registration for the event is open at EdinaMN.gov/NighttoUnite. Registration deadline is 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 19.

For more information, contact the Edina Police Department at 952-826-1610.
