Neal was elected at the League’s Annual Conference Business Meeting in June.

“Scott impressed us with his 30-plus years of government service, particularly his mix of working in smaller cities as well as his current role with a larger metro city,” said D. Love, Mayor of Centerville and chair of the nominating committee that interviewed candidates for the board. “He has a strong history of working with city, regional and state boards and task forces, and has a demonstrated ability to work in a bipartisan manner.”

Luke Fischer, Executive Director of the League, looks forward to working with Neal in this way. “We are excited to have a respected city manager like Scott join the LMC Board,” Fischer said. “He is an engaged and experienced leader who will bring a unique, future-thinking perspective to the League’s work.”

Meetings of the League’s Board of Directors are typically held 11:30 a.m. the third Thursday of the month. For more information, visit lmc.org.
