Organics, Recycling Pickup Schedules Change Due to Holidays

Edina, Minn., Nov. 15, 2023 –The Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s holidays will affect pickup schedules for recycling and organics recycling in Edina.

Please make sure to put your carts out on the correct day. Trash pickup schedules may differ; contact your hauler for their holiday schedule.

Thanksgiving Week:

  • Normal pickup for Monday-Wednesday routes.
  • Thursday routes will be picked up Friday, Nov. 24.
  • Friday routes will be picked up Saturday, Nov. 25.

Christmas Week and New Year’s Week

  • Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 fall on Mondays. No pickups will happen either Monday.
  • All routes will be delayed one day both of those weeks. So, Monday routes will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday routes on Wednesday, etc.

If you will be out of town and don’t want to leave organics in your cart while you’re away, you can drop off organics at one of the organics bins located at these three sites:

  • East side of the Edina Senior Center building, 5280 Grandview Square.
  • Entrance to the Community Garden, 7355 York Ave. S.
  • First level of parking ramp, underneath HomeGoods, at Centennial Lakes Park, 7499 France Ave. S.

See a map of all three locations at EdinaMN.gov/OrganicsDrop.
