Performers Sought for Centennial Lakes Park Summer Series

Family-friendly performers of all types are sought for the popular outdoor summer entertainment at Centennial Lakes Park.

Edina, Minn., Nov. 30, 2023 – Family-friendly performers of all types are sought for the popular outdoor summer entertainment at Centennial Lakes Park.

In addition to live music from any genre, Centennial Lakes Park welcomes applications from other types of performers, including comedy, dance, performance art and puppeteers. The goal is to offer visitors to the park, 7499 France Ave., a wide variety of entertainment.

“Performers tell us it is a really fun place to play,” said Centennial Lakes Park General Manager Tiffany Bushland. “There is always a good crowd, and the atmosphere is great.”

Performers need to supply their own equipment. Stipends range from $150 to $250, with more for some premium dates.

A committee will review all applications and select performers to invite for one or more shows in these series:

  • Children’s entertainment 11 to 11:45 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Evening concerts 7 to 8 p.m. Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays
  • Farmers Market performers 4 to 6 p.m. Thursdays

Interested performers must fill out and submit the application at CentennialLakesPark.com by Jan. 31, 2024. See the application for more details. The performance season runs June through August.

Centennial Lakes Park is the crown jewel of Edina’s parks, featuring walking paths, public art, 10 acres of lake, putting courses, paddle boats and lawn games in the summer. Concerts and children’s entertainment are performed at Maetzold Amphitheater, while the Farmers Market performances are outside Hughes Pavilion.
