Help Sought Identifying Suspicious Person at Edina Aquatic Center

Edina, Minn., July 31, 2018 — The Edina Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a person who may have been loitering in the men’s locker room at the Edina Aquatic Center shortly before 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 17.


The white male, in his late teens to early 40s with dark brown hair, followed a young boy into a restroom stall and touched him inappropriately. The incident happened between 1:10 and 1:13 p.m. The older male was wearing a gray T-shirt, blue shorts and blue tennis shoes.


Aquatic Center staff immediately notified the Edina Police Department, which has been investigating the incident.


Increased security measures have been enacted at the Aquatic Center, 4300 W. 66th St. Visitors are reminded that if they see someone acting suspiciously, please notify staff immediately.
