The Edina Aquatic Center opens Saturday, June 1, with pools and water attractions for everyone from infants to adults to enjoy.
The Aquatic Center, 4300 W. 66th St., features an Olympic-sized lap pool, diving boards, body and tube slides, a zip line plunge into water and a surf simulator. A special zero-depth water playground is dedicated to families with children ages 8 and younger. Out of the water, children can run around the Oakwood Forest natural playground. Concessions are available.
Pay for daily admission at the door or save with a season pass, which gives the holder unlimited visits during the 2019 season.
Birthday party reservations are now being accepted for the summer. Packages include admissions for party guests, reserved tables, cake, soda, paper products and a present for the birthday child.
Private coaching and rental sessions can be booked for the Lost Wave surf simulator. Lessons are available for children and adults, from beginners to those practicing for competitions.
