$1,000 Reward Offered in Normandale Park Vandalism

The Edina Crime Prevention Fund is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and charging of the person or persons responsible for recent damage caused by graffiti at Normandale Park, 6501 Warren Ave. S., Edina.

Sometime between July 26 and 29, a person or persons used a chalk-like substance to draw lewd images, offensive language and symbols on the exterior walls of the Park outbuilding.

“This type of vandalism is not only destructive, but also very offensive. We are actively investigating this incident,” said Lt. Tim Olson. “If residents ever witness suspicious behavior, they should call 911 immediately to report it.”

If you have information regarding this incident or suspect, contact the Edina Police Department at 952-826-1600, any time of day. Your identity may remain confidential. The Edina Crime Prevention Fund is the sole judge of any point of contention regarding the reward, and any decision on any issue connected with the reward is final.

For more information, call the Edina Police Department at 952-826-1610.
