A talk and Q&A with a Jungian psychoanalyst and author about her recently published book Collapse: Dreaming another World. As a psychoanalyst she understands events in the world as symbolic. Like many in Minneapolis, she experienced the collapse of I-35W Bridge over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis as both a personal trauma and a trauma for her community.

    Members of the public can participate in one of the public hearings by leaving a voicemail at 952-826-0377, submitting comments online at or calling 800-374-0221 with Conference ID 5555207 during the meeting. An operator will place you into a queue until it is your turn to speak. You do not need to call until you are ready to speak. Comments submitted by voicemail, online or over the phone during the meeting will be equally considered. There is no need for a person to submit the same comments in more than one way.

  5. CANCELED: Walk With the Mayor - 50th & France

    CANCELED: This event has been canceled. Meet outside the Edina Landmark Theater. Participating in the Walk with the Mayor gives community members a chance to voice concerns, share opinions and thoughts as well as just talk with Hovland while getting to know the city a little bit better. No prior registration is required to attend Walk With the Mayor, simply show up at the designated meeting time to walk and talk with Mayor Hovland. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. In the event of rain, the walk will be held at Southdale Center; participants should meet near the Caribou Coffee in the center court. For more information or to suggest a location for a future walk, contact the Communications & Technology Services Department at 952-826-0359.
