The piece is removed hot from the kiln, put into a metal “reduction chamber” full of combustible material that burns and alters the glaze, color and surface. The Raku process is fun and hands-on and produces wonderful lustrous and crackle glazes. All students will glaze-fire three times in this 8 week class.
