    The Bend in the River Big Band was formed in 1987 from Alumni of Gustavus Adolphus College under the direction of Dr. Mark Lammers. Bend in the River Big Band will be playing at the Centennial Lakes Maetzold Amphitheater. Popcorn and soda available for purchase at our concessions stand!

  2. Performance: The Bazillions

    June 21, 2018, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM @ Centennial Lakes Park

    The Bazillions are the creation of Twin Cities’ parents/educators/singer-songwriters Adam and Kristin Marshall. Literally from their first day on the job at Kenny School in Minneapolis, the couple was writing songs for and with their students. Before long, the kids knew every word to every song, and parents began asking for a CD. So, along with their indie pop band The Humbugs, the Marshalls recorded and released “Rock-n-Roll Recess,” under the new alter-ego band name “The Bazillions.” The Bazillions will be performing at the Centennial Lakes Maetzold Amphitheater.

    Approximately three dozen vendors setup along the walkways outside of Hughes Pavilion. Although products vary weekly, you can expect to find items such as: apples, beans, beef, breads, cheeses, confections, eggs, fruit, honey, jams, jerky, lamb, melons, pears, peppers, pork, potatoes, poultry, salsas, strawberries, sweet corn, and more!

  5. Concert: Hopkins Westwind Concert Band

    June 24, 2018, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Centennial Lakes Park

    The Hopkins Westwind Concert Band (HWCB), under the direction of Conductor Mike Anderson and Conductor Emeritus Don Bates, is a community band based in Hopkins, Minnesota. Since 1983 the HWCB has been making music in the Twin Cities metro area. During those years, the band has performed for thousands of people in various outdoor venues including the Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis, Centennial Lakes in Edina, the Burwell House in Minnetonka, Friendship Village in Bloomington, Downtown Park in Hopkins, and locations in St. Paul, Maple Grove, Eden Prairie, and Plymouth. Since 1987 it has sponsored the Raspberry Festival of Bands, an event that showcases five area community bands. It regularly performs indoor concerts at Edinborough Park in Edina, the Hopkins High School Auditorium, and the Eisenhower Community Center. Hopkins Westwind Concert Band will be playing at the Centennial Lakes Maetzold Amphitheater. Popcorn and soda available for purchase at our concessions stand!

  6. Concert: Celebration Brass

    The Celebration Brass Band was started in May of 2009 by Keith Miland, Dave Czohara and Mary Lund. The band is made up of full and part-time residents, from The Villages, FL., and the surrounding area. At the current time the band performs a fall and spring concert each season. The South of the River Big Band will be playing at the Centennial Lakes Maetzold Amphitheater. Popcorn and soda available for purchase at our concessions stand!

  9. Concert: Medalist Concert Band

    The Medalist Concert Band, a volunteer group composed of 70 Twin Cities–area musicians, was founded in the fall of 1968. The primary purposes for the band were and remain (1) to provide adult musicians with an opportunity to perform; (2) to provide Bloomington and the surrounding area with outstanding musical concerts; and (3) to provide young musicians with a model of music as a lifelong hobby. Medalist Concert Band will be playing at the Centennial Lakes Maetzold Amphitheater. Popcorn and soda available for purchase at our concessions stand!
