Help celebrate Arbor Day with the City's biggest event. We are taking on the challenge of planting 200 trees in Rosland Park, and we need your help.

Volunteers will be instructed in how to plant a tree and the first tree or two will be done as a large group. Then everyone will break off in small groups to plant trees across the park. Shovels and other equipment will be provided, and the soil will already have been augered to make the task much easier.

Volunteers are asked to bring gloves and wear closed-toed shoes, along with clothes you don't mind getting dirty.  In addition to planting trees, people will be watering them and putting down compost generated from the City's curbside organics program.

This event is family friendly, so bring the kids.

Meet at the pavilion and get your assignment from there. The event begins at 10 a.m. but drop by whenever you can make it. Parks Maintenance staff will be there throughout the day to help direct volunteers.
