Walk With Mayor Jim Hovland at Braemar Arena. This is a chance for community members to voice concerns, share opinions and thoughts with the mayor. It's also a chance to learn more about city facilities, including Braemar Arena. 

Wear comfortable shoes. Layers are recommended for the ice arena.

Voters recently approved a 1/2-cent sales tax that will pay for $13.5 million in critical infrastructure repairs and upgrades at the Arena, including the HVAC system, roofing, restrooms, locker rooms and rink cooling systems.

That same tax will pay for $8.1 million in improvements at Braemar Park, home to Braemar Arena, Braemar Field and Courtney Fields.

Voters are being asked in November to use that same sales tax to expand Braemar Arena. This would add another sheet of indoor ice, create a safer drop-off area, add parking and expand the lobby. Learn more details at EdinaatPlay.org.
