    Here is an opportunity to use an acetylene torch, metal buffer and metal kiln equipment every Monday morning or Wednesday evening, and the ability to work with other jewelry and metal artists. Students must be members of the Edina Art Center. *Art Center closed Jan. 15 and Feb. 19.

  2. 3101: Refining Your Skills

    This wheel-throwing class is designed to help intermediate potters expand their skills and move past their current plateaus. We will explore new and larger forms, improve trimming techniques and pay closer attention to the details that make a pot more successful. There will be personal attention and class projects as well as discussions about form, function and aesthetics to help support each student’s individual progress. *No class Jan. 15 or Feb. 19. Maximum 10.

  3. 3280: Clay Sculpture - Mondays

    October 23, 2017, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM @ Art Center

    Learn techniques for creating ceramic sculpture. If you want to create an animal, figure, abstract or some other type of ceramic work, this class is for you. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination! Students will learn proper architecture for creating sculpture. Individual attention is given to allow students to pursue their own direction. Come to the first class with your own project idea and we will work together to create it. Students must purchase their own clay on the first day of class, approximately $10-15.

    Demonstrations will cover hand-building and basic wheel-throwing techniques, as well as more advanced concepts upon request.
