    The Minneapolis Police Band shares music and goodwill through concerts, parades and other performances throughout the city of Minneapolis and surrounding communities. It is the oldest continuously-running police band in the United States, and is a treasured local institution. Its members are Goodwill Ambassadors of the Minneapolis Police Department. Today the band performs in parks, police functions, senior communities and parades. The band is made of up civilian volunteers and retired and active police officers. It represents a successful and beautiful partnership between police and community members.

    The EXECS Big Band is a 17 piece group, including their excellent female vocalist, that was founded in 1965. The current players are 2nd through 5th generation musicians. The band plays largely “non-electric” music by some of the great bands of yesteryear, including Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Woody Herman, Ray Anthony, Les Brown and Stan Kenton. They have some soft rock, waltzes, latin as well as a polka or two in their library!

    The Red Rock Swing band is a 17-piece big-band based in Woodbury, Minnesota. They specialize in "danceable" tunes from the golden era of Swing. Think Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway and you're in their era. They've been around since 2003, and the band plays anywhere from city parks to wedding receptions to corporate parties. Their highlighted performances include Grand Casino Mille Lacs and Hinckley, Target Field, The Wabasha Street Caves, Como Park Pavilion and their annual gig the first Saturday of each Minnesota State Fair at the DNR Stage.
