The event allows residents to donate building materials in usable condition to two local nonprofits that specialize in the reuse and sale of salvaged building materials. Better Futures Minnesota and Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity ReStore will be onsite during the event to vet all materials for quality and potential for resale. The September Walk With the Mayor will be canceled due to a conflict in scheduling. The HOM Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer Run/Walk will be held in Rosland Park during the time of the Walk With the Mayor. Due to this conflict, the City has decided to cancel the September Walk With the Mayor. ______ Participating in the Walk with the Mayor gives community members a chance to voice concerns, share opinions and thoughts as well as just talk with Hovland while getting to know the city a little bit better. No prior registration is required to attend Walk With the Mayor, simply show up at the designated meeting time to walk and talk with Mayor Hovland.
